GEA receives a big order from the largest dairy foods producer in the Middle East

The Process Technology Segment of GEA Group has received an order in excess of EUR 24 million from Almarai, the leading dairy foods company in the Middle East. The order covers the engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning of a complete processing plant for manufacturing baby food (instant formula) in Saudi Arabia. Almarai’s overall budget for the whole project is approx. EUR 100 million. The factory is expected to be completed in autumn 2010.

Almarai is based in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is quoted on the local stock exchange, Tadawul, and has annual revenues of more than EUR 900 million. The company is committed to healthy living and to delivering only the freshest and most delicious products.
