Superior technology for the Nestlé Group:
First fully automatic dairy
plant in Chile to be built by GEA TDS in co-operation with Nestlé
GEA TDS GmbH, part of GEA Process Engineering, has received an order
from Nestlé about 9 Mio. Euro to build the liquid processing part of a
Growing-Up Milk plant in Chile. The new plant will be located near Osorno.
GEA TDS will have the project management for this new liquid
processing, together with an active support by Nestlé PTC Konolfingen /
Switzerland. The plant will be built with the latest available process
technology and know-how for achieving trend setting for the
future.
Apart from project management, GEA TDS will be also responsible for the
management of the liquid process. Therein is sanitary design, the process
automation, installation and commissioning of all liquid processing parts,
evaporation system, butter oil plant and the CIP unit.
The project will
start in July 2009, installation will begin in spring 2010 and the final plant
shall be ready early 2011.
